Consultant in Trauma & Orthopaedics The closing date is 17 June 2026 An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and ambitious Consultant with a specialist interest in soft tissue knee to join a dynamic team of consultants. In this role you will take part in the on call trauma rota and provide a comprehensive trauma and orthopaedic service to the local population of approximately 500,000. The role is based across the RUH and Sulis Orthopaedic Centre. Main duties of the job You are a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon or post CCT Trainee with a particular interest in soft tissue knee. The holder will participate in audit and directorate meetings and undertake administrative duties as required by the Clinical Lead in Trauma & Orthopaedics. Commitment to maintain professional expertise by attendance at meetings and courses is required, along with an interest in research and teaching with participation in projects, courses, etc. Completion of diaries for CME is essential. Full GMC Registration Entry on the GMC Specialist Register (or entry expected within six months of interview date)
Clinical Experience
Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of problems both emergency and elective disorders within the specialty. Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients.
