SEND Teaching Assistant (Full-time, Temporary)

£462.80 - £475 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

November 2026 – April 2027

The School and Role

A Primary School situated in Durham are looking to employ a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team and offer support in the school’s SEND provision with children from Nursery – Year 2. The successful candidate will have previous experience of supporting pupils with additional needs and be confident in tailoring learning to ensure all children can achieve to a high standard. This role is set to commence ASAP and continuing on a long-term basis if all goes well.

Requirements

The desired Teaching Assistant will have:

- Experience of working across EYFS – KS1.

- Experience of supporting children with SEND.

- An ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Excellent communication skills.

- A calm and approachable manner.
