We're working with a welcoming specialist provision in Westerhope that is seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join their primary team. This is an opportunity to work with pupils who need patience, creativity, and consistency from the adults around them.

The school supports children with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, communication difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. No two days are ever quite the same, but every day brings the chance to make a genuine difference.

The role

You will be responsible for delivering personalised learning to a primary-aged SEND class, adapting lessons to meet individual needs and helping pupils achieve both academic and personal milestones.

The role will involve:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment
  • Working closely with support staff, parents, and external professionals
  • Promoting communication, independence, and confidence in every pupil

We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching children with SEND, either in mainstream or specialist settings
  • Builds positive relationships and remains calm under pressure
  • Understands the importance of consistency and routine
  • Is passionate about helping every child achieve success in their own way
