We're currently recruiting for a qualified Optometrist to join a well-established and forward-thinking optical team in the Blyth area.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Optometrist looking for part-time hours without compromising on salary, professional development or benefits. You'll be joining a supportive environment where high-quality patient care is at the heart of everything they do.
The Role
As an Optometrist, you'll play an important role in delivering high-quality patient care while supporting the wider optical team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing comprehensive eye examinations and excellent patient careScreening and monitoring patientsSupporting the delivery of extended eye care servicesMaintaining high clinical and operational standardsCoaching and supporting the wider optical teamContributing to the development of new and enhanced patient servicesWorking closely with the Optical Manager and wider department team
You'll receive comprehensive professional development and training, including a strong CPD programme and protected time to complete additional accreditations, where required. Relevant training and accreditation are fully funded and supported.
You'll also have access to in-store, regional and central support teams, ensuring expert guidance is available for both clinical and service-related queries.
Hours & Salary
24 hours per week - Part Time
Salary: £49,400 - £62,900 FTE
The position offers a flexible working pattern within a seven-day opening environment, making it an attractive option for an Optometrist looking to achieve a strong work-life balance.

Full GOC registrationNHS performer registration with your relevant area team or health boardMECs or WECs accreditation, or a willingness to achieve the relevant accreditation within 12 months fully funded and supportedA commitment to maintaining your statutory CPD requirementsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA passion for delivering high standards of clinical careAn interest in developing patient services and supporting the wider optical team
