As a Kitchen Porter, you will assist with kitchen operations by washing dishes, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, supporting the kitchen team with food preparation tasks, and ensuring the kitchen area remains tidy and organized. These responsibilities help ensure the restaurant runs smoothly and provides an excellent dining experience for customers.
Offered on a part-time, fixed term contract until 30 September 2026, with guaranteed 30 hours per week, scheduled on a rota basis.

What You'll Do
Every night is different, but consistency is key. As the Night Team Leader, you will:
Lead the night team to maintain a calm, safe and structured environment.
Support young people with personal care and administer medication where required.
Respond quickly and professionally to safeguarding concerns, dysregulation or health needs.
Guide and mentor junior staff, modelling high-quality, child-centred practice.
Understand the night-time needs of children with autism, ADHD, epilepsy, Down syndrome and Global Development Delay.
Recognise the impact of sensory overload, communication barriers, sleep disruption and impulsivity.
Ensure accurate night logs are completed and handovers to the day team are clear and thorough.
Drive if required for emergencies or urgent safeguarding needs (full UK licence required).
Use a trauma-informed and attachment-aware approach to offer predictability, comfort and reassurance.
Maintain strong routines to help children feel secure during the night.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for experienced, emotionally steady leaders who can bring calm and confidence to night shifts:
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - essential.
3+ years experience in children's residential care, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
Strong background supporting children with learning disabilities, autism, ADHD, GDD, Down syndrome, epilepsy or FAS.
Skilled in responding to dysregulation, night-time anxiety and behaviours that challenge.
Able to mentor and guide less experienced staff with confidence and clarity.
Physically fit, alert and dependable.
Emotionally steady when children cannot regulate themselves.
Full UK driving licence required due to the rural location and emergency needs.
