                <description><![CDATA[<p><b>JOB PURPOSE</b></p><p>
Under the direction of the class teacher/outreach teacher/Education Authority, assist with the educational support and the care of the pupil(s) with special educational needs who is/are in the teacher’s care in or outside the classroom. <b>MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</b> The precise duties of the post will be determined by the principal/outreach teacher/ Education Authority officer. <b>SPECIAL CLASSROOM SUPPORT</b> Assist the teacher with the support and care of pupil(s) with special educational needs e.g. enable access to the curriculum, attend to personal needs including dietary, feeding, toileting etc.
Develop an understanding of the specific needs of the pupil(s) to be supported.
Assist with authorised programmes (e.g. Education Plan, Care Plan), participate in the evaluation of the support and encourage pupil(s) participation in such programmes.
Contribute to the inclusion of the pupil in mainstream schools under the directions of the class teacher.
Assist with operational difficulties and non-invasive medical/clinical difficulties pertaining to pupil(s) disabilities.
Support in implementing behavioural management programmes as directed.
Assist pupil(s) in moving around school and on and off transport. <b>GENERAL CLASSROOM SUPPORT</b> Assist pupil(s) learn as effectively as possible both in group situations and on their own by assisting with the management of the learning environment through: - clarifying and explaining instruction;
- ensuring the pupils are able to use equipment and materials provided;
- assisting in motivating and encouraging the pupil(s) as required;
- assisting in areas requiring reinforcement or development;
- promoting the independence of pupils to enhance learning;
- helping pupil(s) stay on work set;
- meeting physical/medical needs as required whilst encouraging independence. Be aware of school policies, procedures and of confidential issues linked to home/pupil/teacher/school work and to keep confidences appropriately.
Establish a supportive relationship with the pupils concerned.
Prepare and produce appropriate resources to support pupil(s) and take care of material for play sessions. 
Supervise groups of pupils, or individual pupils on specified activities including talking and listening, using ICT, extra curricular activities, and other duties, as directed by the class teacher/officer.
Under the direction of the teacher, and following an appropriate risk assessment, assist with off-site activities.
Provide continuity of adult care of e.g. supervising play and cloakrooms including hand washing, toileting etc. 
Provide supervision/support including the administration of prescribed medicines and drugs for children who are ill and deal with minor cuts and grazes.
Ensure as far as possible a safe environment for pupils.
Report to the class teacher any signs or symptoms displayed which may suggest that a pupil requires expert or immediate attention. <b>ADMINISTRATION</b> Assist with classroom administration. 
Assist the class teacher and/or other professionals with the implementation of the system for recording the pupil(s) progress.
Contribute to the maintenance of pupil(s) progress records.
Provide regular feedback about the pupil(s) to the teacher/officer.
Duplicate written materials, assist with production of charts and displays, record radio and television programmes, catalogue and process books and resources. <b>OTHER DUTIES</b> Attend relevant in-service training.
Assist work placement students with practical tasks.
Such other duties as may be assigned by the principal/outreach teacher/Education Authority officer within the level of the post.</p>]]></description>

                <description><![CDATA[<p>We have an exciting opportunity for a Tax Reserves Manager to join our Finance team, based in A&amp;O Shearman's Belfast office.<br><br>Finance team - Belfast<br><br>The Tax Reserves Manager is a member of the Partners' Affairs and Tax (“PAT”) team supporting the Head of International Tax in the management of the global tax affairs of the A&amp;O Shearman grouping, with a specific focus on the delivery of partners’ tax reserves.<br><br>What you will do Develop a detailed understanding of the tax systems of the territories in which A&amp;O Shearman operates in relation to partner tax reserves.Set up of tax reserves both in GBP and in currency, for both equity and employee/consultant partners, and subsequent reconciliation and release of residual balances, including review of various tax equalisation arrangements.Coordination of work done by UK and international tax teams to obtain a consolidated view of partners’ overall tax reserves positions as part of ongoing reserves reconciliation and releases processes.Ongoing review of existing processes to ensure that they continue to be appropriate (e.g. to reflect impacts of business change transactions and external legislative developments), and to identify opportunities to improve these.Play a leading role in determining and putting in place appropriate processes for reconciling partner tax reserves for new offices and ensuring that these are maintained going forward.Support year-end work to deliver tax reserves calculations, tax equalisation calculations and relevant tax disclosures.Ensuring that positions taken in relation to partner tax reserves are correctly reflected in relevant accounting systems.Reconciliation and ongoing maintenance of deferred tax control accounts.Build awareness of technology solutions (including use of AI and automation) that could generate efficiencies in the tax reserving process and propose recommendations on how these could be implemented.Communications with partners, CFOs and other stakeholders in relation to tax reserving matters.Liaising with external advisors where required.Coordinate and support the work of junior team members in London and Belfast.<br>What you will have Strong General Ledger accounting skills.Evidence of strong numeric skills.ACA or equivalent accounting qualification.Tax qualification (e.g. ADIT or CTA) desirable.Personal or Corporate Tax Experience to Manager level.Collaborative approach and ability to build strong relationships with PAT team colleagues, as well as colleagues in other teams located across the globe.Ability to effectively communicate complex tax and accounting issues both orally and in writing to non-specialists.Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.Broad knowledge of tax issues affecting partners in professional partnerships would be helpful but is not a pre-requisite.<br>What we can offer you​To learn more about the culture and benefits available at A&amp;O Shearman, please visit: Culture and benefits | A&amp;O Shearman careersShould you require additional support at any stage of the recruitment process due to a disability or a health condition, please do not hesitate to contact a member of our recruitment team who will work with you to provide any adjustments as required. <br> <br><br>We are an equal opportunities recruiter and do not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, sex, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or any other protected characteristic.NO AGENCIES PLEASE - A&amp;O Shearman does not accept unsolicited CVs.
