Day to day

  • Own and run the Technology budget and forecasting cycle, partnering with Technology teams and Finance to ensure accurate, timely and commercially aligned planning.

  • Track actuals against budget and forecast, investigating variances, maintaining cost models, and identifying cost savings, efficiency gains and investment opportunities.

  • Deliver highquality regular and adhoc reporting for Technology leadership, providing clear, actionable insight aligned to trading performance and P&L outcomes.

  • Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards covering budget performance, KPIs and delivery metrics, working closely with data and Power BI teams to ensure data integrity.

  • Automate reporting and data processes using tools such as Power Platform and Excel to improve efficiency, reliability and scalability.

  • Act as the goto contact for Technology performance insight, building trusted relationships with Finance, Technology leads and senior stakeholders, and supporting strategic analysis and business cases.

What are the must haves

  • Significant experience in commodities, or a tradingled commercial environment, where financial performance, volatility, and rapid decisionmaking are central to success.

  • Significant experience in budget management, financial planning, performance reporting, or operational analysis within a fastpaced, commercially driven setting.

  • Strong numerical and analytical capability, including advanced financial modelling and the ability to work confidently with large datasets and complex cost structures.

Within Centrica Home (B2C), the Product Design team creates digital experiences that balance customer needs with business goals. As our CCTV Security Investigator, your role will be varied in nature and it will will cover 4 main areas of responsibility including;

Investigation

Monitor CCTV in order to support the reduction in losses and enforce preventative measures Review CCTV for high value or notable items escalated as lost within the network, that would have a significant impact upon the business if not recovered Report CCTV findings to the relevant Regional Security Manager in a structured and documented manner To provide evidential packs suitable for prosecution cases in conjunction with the Regional Security Managers and police Produce witness statements, exhibits and CCTV downloads to support the prosecution of offenders To attend Court where necessary and provide witness testimony with regards to CCTV evidence

Compliance

Escalate to the necessary managers any poor processes identified during CCTV reviews Monitor and review security searches (person/vehicle) conducted by depot staff, compiling summary reports for management scrutiny of compliance Support Quality Audit Managers and Regional Security Managers in instigating and reviewing operational and security process compliance Provide footage to assist training, in support of security, transport and health and safety

Risk and Alarm Monitoring

Report security incidents or suspicious behaviour and escalate to the relevant Regional Security Manager Monitor and respond to intruder alarms during periods of depot lockdown. Monitor and respond to access control alarms and unauthorised access events, providing information to the Regional Security Manager and reporting on non-compliance Review depot lockdown processes on CCTV, ensuring that the agreed procedures are followed correctly Consolidate and monitor potential areas of risk, preparing reports to justify change.

Network Support

Assist with the planning of new depot CCTV installation, highlighting lessons learnt and the shortfalls of the existing system Identify trends, understand analytical products, and report the same to management

Qualifications

About You

We would expect you to have extensive knowledge and experience of operating CCTV systems. You will be able to work on your own initiative to conduct CCTV operations and investigations to identify those involved in theft, fraud and non-compliance. You must also have experience of producing evidential reports, witnesses statements and exhibits to support police investigations. We would also expect:

Teaching Qualifications & Salary Banding

To be eligible for our Qualified Lecturer salary banding (£31,837 - £48,160), you must hold one of the following teaching qualifications:

Accepted Qualifications:
  • DTTLS (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
  • Certificate in Education
  • PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
  • ProfGCE (Professional Graduate Certificate in Education) 
  • DET (Diploma in Education and Training)
  • DiT (Diploma in Teaching) – if for a vocational subject
If you do not hold one of the above qualifications, you will fall into our Unqualified Lecturer salary banding (£26,661 - £29,998).

Not Accepted as Stand Alone Qualifications:
  • PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
  • CTLLS (Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
  • CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) 
  • SFHEA (Senior Fellowship)
  • Masters in Education
  • TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language)
