Description:
We are looking for a Microsoft 365 Copilot Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide strategic, functional, and governance expertise to support the secure, compliant, and value-driven adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot for a prestigious organisation in the teaching and education space.
This person acts as a central advisor for Copilot governance, user case prioritisation, extensibility oversight, and operational adoption. They will work closely with programme leadership, business stakeholders, and Copilot Studio developers, to ensure that Microsoft 365 Copilot capabilities are implemented in alignment with organisational objectives, security standards, regulatory obligations, and enterprise operating models.
A key focus of the role is supporting the governance and assurance of Copilot extensibility solutions, including agents and automation scenarios developed using Microsoft Copilot Studio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide subject matter expertise on Microsoft 365 Copilot capabilities, enterprise adoption considerations, and governance best practices
- Support the establishment and ongoing evolution of the organisation’s Microsoft 365 Copilot governance framework
- Ensure Copilot adoption aligns with:
- Information governance policies
- Security and compliance requirements
- Data protection obligations
- Enterprise architecture standards
- Organisational operating models
- Advise stakeholders on responsible AI usage, risk management, and governance considerations associated with Copilot deployment
- Contribute to the development of standards, guardrails, and governance processes for enterprise Copilot usage
- Support the development, governance, and continuous improvement of the Copilot use case intake, prioritisation, and BAU demand management processes
- Assist in building and maintaining the organisation’s Microsoft 365 Copilot Use Case Roadmap
- Assess and prioritise proposed use cases based on:
- Business value and strategic alignment
- User and organisational readiness
- Technical feasibility and complexity
- Security and compliance implications
- Operational support considerations
- Facilitate workshops and engagement sessions with business stakeholders to identify and refine high-value Copilot opportunities
- Ensure proposed use cases are appropriately assessed against governance controls, risk appetite, and organisational policy requirements
- Provide recommendations on phased implementation approaches and adoption sequencing
This will be an inside IR35 contract role working via umbrella company so please only apply if you are resident to the UK and prepared to work on this basis.
