We're working with a welcoming secondary school in Barking looking for a dedicated Business Tutor to support students across Key Stages 4 and 5.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys breaking down complex concepts, building confidence and helping young people achieve their academic goals. Whether you're an experienced tutor, a graduate with a Business-related degree, or someone with classroom experience looking for a new challenge, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
As a Business Tutor, you'll work closely with students who need additional support to strengthen their understanding of Business Studies and improve their attainment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering targeted one-to-one and small group Business interventions
- Supporting students preparing for GCSE and A-Level examinations
- Reinforcing classroom learning and helping close knowledge gaps
- Monitoring student progress and adapting support where needed
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff and department leaders
- Encouraging student engagement, confidence and independent learning
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Holds a degree in Business, Economics, Finance or a related subject
- Has experience tutoring, mentoring or supporting young people
- Has strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills
- Can build positive relationships with students quickly
- Is patient, enthusiastic and committed to helping students succeed
Experience working within a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential.
