£95-120 per day (depending on experience)

We're working with a welcoming secondary school in Barking looking for a dedicated Business Tutor to support students across Key Stages 4 and 5.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys breaking down complex concepts, building confidence and helping young people achieve their academic goals. Whether you're an experienced tutor, a graduate with a Business-related degree, or someone with classroom experience looking for a new challenge, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

As a Business Tutor, you'll work closely with students who need additional support to strengthen their understanding of Business Studies and improve their attainment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering targeted one-to-one and small group Business interventions
  • Supporting students preparing for GCSE and A-Level examinations
  • Reinforcing classroom learning and helping close knowledge gaps
  • Monitoring student progress and adapting support where needed
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff and department leaders
  • Encouraging student engagement, confidence and independent learning

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds a degree in Business, Economics, Finance or a related subject
  • Has experience tutoring, mentoring or supporting young people
  • Has strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills
  • Can build positive relationships with students quickly
  • Is patient, enthusiastic and committed to helping students succeed

Experience working within a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential.
