This involves building data analytics infrastructure (i.e. R packages, databases and Apps), using version control and DevOps practices (e.g. Git-based workflows), and applying data science techniques to internal and client datasets to generate robust, well-documented, decision-ready insights. </p> <p>The role will be highly collaborative, working closely with the Data Science Lead, biometric research actuaries, UK business development and the global Hannover Re data science community. There is scope to be involved in various internal expert networks and attend internal and external conferences. </p> <p>The ideal role holder will be creative, intellectually curious, versatile, show initiative and be able to translate complex analysis into clear business insights. <p>We're looking for an experienced Applied Data Scientist to help improve the performance of our production fraud detection models.</p>

<p>Working within our Fraud Intelligence team, you'll analyse large-scale datasets, identify new behavioural signals and optimise machine learning models to improve fraud detection accuracy while reducing false positives.</p>
