In your new role as a Cleaner, you will ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order and meeting all agreed SLAs. Build your knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, when the work needs to be carried out and all cleaning equipment and chemicals used on the premises while following Health and Safety requirements. You will need to undertake successfully all training required to deliver the cleaning role. You will be required to work within a team and can work under their own initiative. You will need to build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivery excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.

In order to be successful in this role you will need have the ability to communicate and read basic English, previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential and have a flexible approach to the role. You will need to be open, honest, self-driven and determined. You'll need to be reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude.

  What you’ll be doing:

  • As part of the Atlas Family, you’ll dedicate your time on site to going the extra mile and seamlessly meeting the needs of Atlas’ clients.

  • You’ll be inducted at the start of your contract and Atlas will train you within your first week of work. You’ll learn how to deliver the cleaning specification, and use the equipment. We will keep it simple and give you all you need to succeed

  • Providing a high standard of customer care through your focus across different shift hours

  • Handling site-based equipment and cleaning materials (don’t worry you will get full training).
  • Replenishing consumables such as, paper towels, soap, toilet paper and bin liners.
  • Emptying all litter bins into appropriate waste & recycling containers.
  • Ensuring cleaning is completed to the highest standards at all time.
  • Maintain Health and Safety standards at all times. Atlas will make sure you’re fully prepared so that you can begin with a full understanding of what to look out for.

Would you like to join a school at an exciting time in its development?

We are looking to appoint a responsible, organised and enthusiastic Cleaner for our Stansted site, to ensure that our school is safe, clean, tidy and secure environment to facilitate the effective teaching of our pupils.

The salary is KSA £5,922.85 (£24,513 ull time equivalent) and a full job description and person specification is attached. The successful candidate will work 2 hours per day Monday to Friday (10 hours per week) term time only, either 6.15am-8.15am or 3.30pm-5.30pm. There is also a requirement to work for a further two weeks (20 hours) during the summer holiday to complete the school's deep clean.

Grange Park School is an autism specific provision for children aged 11 to 19 located in a purpose built school in Wrotham and for children aged 9-11 located in Stansted village 3 miles from the main school site.
